Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are also available to bring Communion to any Parishioner who is sick and cannot come to Mass. You are invited to attend the Nehemiah Action of BOLD Justice (= Broward Organized Leaders Doing Justice) here in our church on Monday, March 27, at 7:00 pm. BOLD Justice is an organization of religious congregations throughout Broward County, including Catholic Churches such as ours, which are working together to address and resolve critical community problems. The Nehemiah Action, which gets its name from the assembly called by the prophet Nehemiah (5:1-13), is the main forum for addressing these issues, which this year are: mandating civil citations state-wide for non-violent offenses by minors (as opposed to being arrested and having that on their record), the building of a high quality, affordable, long-term care facility for Broward seniors, and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training for all BSO deputies for dealing with mentally ill individuals. Please join us in standing BOLD for justice in our community at the Nehemiah Action!

The U.S. bishops still advocate for a comprehensive immigration reform - with a path to legal status for the 11 million or so undocumented. And while many will find no permanent solution without comprehensive immigration reform, it is estimated that up to 10% of this population may have a legal solution which they are unaware of. So, in this situation people are advised to remain calm, to know their rights, and also be aware of the Catholic Legal Services of the Archdiocese of Miami that provides legal immigration services both in Broward and Dade Counties. Information on CLS is available in the church office.
